The Balsam Community Center Building INSIDE is available to rent for events such as birthday parties, wedding and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, small weddings and receptions, family reunions, celebrations of life, meetings, seminars, and workshops. Outside spaces are shared with general public.
The rental includes access to a large gathering room, kitchen, and a smaller secondary room that can be used for additional seating, breakout space, or smaller meetings.
Rental Features
- Seating for about 75 guests comfortably (up to 100 with use of the additional room)
- 16 six-foot tables and 3 eight-foot tables, plus ample chairs
- Fully equipped kitchen with a large 11′ × 44″ wood serving table — ideal for buffets or serving large groups
- Free public Wi-Fi
- Small room with a large flatscreen TV that can connect to a laptop or streaming device (Fire Stick/Roku) — great for entertaining kids or presentations
- Handicap-accessible entrance with ramp
Outdoor Areas:
The picnic shelter, playground, and basketball/pickleball court are maintained by Jackson County Parks & Recreation and remain open to the public during rentals. These areas are first-come, first-served and are shared with public during the building rental.
A pickleball group regularly uses the court on Saturday mornings, so Saturday rentals are best scheduled after 1:00 PM.
Please note: Because the building is owned by the county, alcohol is not permitted on the premises.
