With great sadness, we announce the passing of Charles “Charlie” Poore Munroe on Thursday, June 11 in Miami. Charlie was a frequent attendee of potluck dinners and community events. He started visiting Balsam as a child 80 years ago and then began spending half the year here 32 years ago. That says A LOT for his love of our community, especially from someone who has sailed all over the world.
Our deepest sympathies go out to his wife of 63 years, Mimi, and his brother William “Bill” Munroe who also is a long term seasonal resident of Balsam as well Charlie and Mimi’s children and grandchildren. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
